Surah 93: The Morning Hours (Ad-Duha)

Allah doesn't hate you

3 Allah doesn't hate you.

Surah 94: Solace (Al-Inshirah)

Didn't we expand your bosom?

1 Didn't we [Allah] dilate your bosom?

Surah 95: The Fig (At-Tin)

The lowest of the low

4-6 We [Allah] created man of the highest stature. Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low, except for those who believe and do good works

Surah 96: The Clot (Al-Alaq)

From a clot

1 Thy Lord created man from a clot.

We'll grab him by the forelock - the lying, sinful forelock

13 If someone denies Allah's guidance, we [Allah] will seize him by the forelock, the lying, sinful forelock. 18 Then we'll call the guards of hell.

Surah 97: Power (Al-Qadr)

Better than 1000 months

1 We [Allah] revealed it on the night of predestination.

2-3 What will convey the meaning of the night of Power?

The night of power is better than a thousand months.

Surah 98: The Clear Proof (Al-Beyyinah)

The worst of created beings

1-3 The disbelievers won't believe until they receive the clear proof from a messenger of Allah, containing the correct scriptures.

4 And the people of the scripture weren't divided until the clear proof came to them.

5 True religion is paying the poor due.

6 Disbelievers are the worst of created beings. They will live in the fire of hell.

7 Believers are the best of created beings.

Surah 99: The Earthquake (Al-Zilzal)

The final earthquake

1-6 At the end of the world there will be a final earthquake, and all the people, alive and dead, will come forth and be shown their deeds.

Surah 100: The Coursers (Al-A'adiyat)

By the snorting coursers

1-6 By the snorting coursers, humans are ungrateful to their Lord.

9-11 When the graves are opened, and the secrets of the breasts are revealed, their Lord will know.

Surah 101: The Calamity (Al-Qari'ah)

The Calamity: A hungry mother and a raging fire

1 The calamity! 2 What is the calamity?

4 It's a day when humans will be like thickly scattered moths. 8-11 Those whose scales are light will have hungry mothers and will be engulfed by a raging fire.

Surah 102: Rivalry in Worldly Increase (At-Takathur)

When you see hell fire, you'll be asked about pleasure

1-3 While you're still alive you're distracted by wealth. But you'll find out.

4 You'll find out.

6-8 When you see hell fire, someone will ask you about pleasure.

Surah 103: The Declining Day (Al-Asr)

A state of loss

2-3 Everyone is in a state of loss except for believers.

Surah 104: The Traducer (Al-Humazah)

Flung to the Consuming One

1-3 Woe to the wealthy slanderers, who think their wealth makes them immortal. 4-5 They'll be flung to the Consuming One and burn in the fire of Allah.

Surah 105: The Elephant (Al-Fil)

Allah sent flying creatures that pelted them with stones

1 Did you see how your Lord [Allah] dealt with the owners of the Elephant?

3-5 He sent swarms of flying creatures, who dropped stones and baked clay on them, making them like crops eaten by cattle.

Surah 106: Qureysh (Ash-Shita)

The taming of Qureysh

1-4 For the taming of Qureysh….

Surah 107: Small Kindnesses (Al-Ma'un)

Nonreligious people are unkind

1-3 Have you noticed that nonreligious people never help orphans or the needy?

Woe to unkind religious people!

4-6 Woe to believers that refuse small kindnesses!

Surah 108: Abundance (Al-Kauthar)

Your insulter won't have any posterity

1 We [Allah] have given you [Muhammad] much. 2 So pray and sacrifice.

3 It's your insulters, not you, who won't have any posterity.

Surah 109: The Disbelievers (Al-Kafirun)

Religious freedom

1 Say to the disbelievers:

2 I don't worship what you worship. 3 You don't worship what I worship.

4 I won't worship what you worship. 5 You won't worship what I worship.

6 You have a right to your religion; I have a right to mine.

Surah 110: Succour (An-Nasr)

When everyone is becoming a Muslim

1-2 When Allah is victorious, and many people are becoming Muslims, praise him and ask him to forgive you.

Surah 111: Palm Fiber (Al-Masad)

Abu Lahab and his wife, the wood carrier

1 Abu Lahab will die. 2 His wealth won't save him. 3 He'll be plunged into a flaming fire.

4-5 And his wife, the wood carrier, will have a halter of palm fiber around her neck.

Surah 112: The Unity (At-Tauhid)

Allah has no children and is nobody's child

1-3 Allah has no children and is nobody's child. 4 There’s nobody like him.

Surah 113: The Daybreak (Al-Falaq)

The evil that Allah has created and the evil of witchcraft

1-2 I seek refuge from the evil that Allah has created. 4 And from the evil of malignant witchcraft.

Surah 114: Mankind (An-Nas)

The sneaking whisperer and the hearts of jinn

1-3 Say: I seek refuge in the Lord, King, and God of mankind, from the evil of the sneaking whisperer, who whispers in the hearts of humans and jinn.
