Lyman, your sins are forgiven
1 Lyman [R. Sherman], your sins are forgiven, because you have obeyed me. 2 But from now on, do what I say. 3 If you do, you'll have exceeding great blessings. 4 You'll be ordained with the rest of my elders. 6 And you'll get to go preach wherever I send you. 8 Amen.

A house in Kirtland
2 Lord, you commanded us to build you a house in Kirtland. 3 And we've done that.
28 We ask you to smite whoever tries to smite us. And fight for us.
45 We know you've said terrible things about the wicked in the last days. 46 Deliver us from the calamity of the wicked on the day of burning.
47 Remember those who have been driven by the inhabitants of Jackson County. 48 They have been oppressed by wicked men. 51 Bare your arm, O Lord. 52 Let your anger waste them away.
54 Let the Constitution be established forever.
65 May those who you have cursed and smitten be converted from their wild and savage ways. 66 That they may stop their killings and rebellions.
68 Remember Joseph Smith, Jr. 69 Have mercy on his wife and children.
72 When the trump sounds for the dead, let us go up in a cloud to meet you. 76 Let our garments be pure. 80 Amen, and Amen.

Visions manifested to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in the temple at Kirtland, Ohio, April 3, 1836
Jesus, Moses, Elias, and Elijah visit Kirtland
2 We saw the Lord standing on a pavement of amber-colored pure gold. 3 His eyes were like flames of fire; his hair was as white as snow; he was a bright as the sun; and his voice sounded like a river or like Jehovah, saying:
5 Your sins are forgiven and you're clean. So rejoice.
7 I accept this house. My name will be here. 8 If you keep my commandments and don't pollute this house, I'll speak to you will my own voice. 10 Amen.
11 After Jesus left, Moses appeared and gave us the keys to the gathering of Israel from the four parts of the earth, and the leading of the ten tribes from the land of the north. 12 Then Elias appeared, saying that all generations would be blessed by our seed. 13 Next up was Elijah, who said:
14 The time has come that Malachi mentioned that I would be sent before the great and terrible day of the Lord. 15 I'm here to make fathers and sons like each other, so that God doesn't smite the whole earth with a curse. 16 You have the keys of this dispensation. The great and dreadful day of the Lord is near.

Jesus gives Salem, Massachusetts to the Mormons
1 I, the Lord and your God, am okay with you going on this journey, even though you've made some mistakes. 2 I'll give you a lot of treasure from this city. 3 So get to know the men who live here, since I'll soon be giving it to you. 4 Someday I'll give the city to you, and you'll have power over it. They'll never discover your secret parts, and all its wealth, gold, and silver will be yours. 5 Don't worry about your debts, I'll help you pay them. 6 And don't worry about Zion either. 7 Stay around here for a while. 8 My spirit will signalize you with a power that will flow into you. 9 You can buy this place. Find out about its ancient founders and inhabitants. 10 There's more than one treasure in this city for you. 11 So be wise as serpents but without sin. I'll make everything happen as soon as you're ready. Amen.
