Episode 50: God's sex laws

(Leviticus 18)

18 ¹ God said to Moses,

⁶ Don't have sex with your close relatives. I am God.

⁷ Don't have sex with your father or mother.

⁸ Or your father’s wife. (It is your father's nakedness.)

⁹ Or your sister (your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter).

¹⁰ Or your granddaughter - your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter (It's your your own nakedness.).

¹¹ Or your father’s wife's daughter.

¹² Or your father’s sister.

¹³ Or your mother’s sister.

¹⁴ Or your father’s brother’s wife.

¹⁵ Or your daughter-in-law.

¹⁶ Or your brother’s wife. (It is your brother's nakedness.)

¹⁷ Or a woman and her daughter. Or a woman and her granddaughter.

¹⁸ Don't marry your wife’s sister (while your wife is still alive).

¹⁹ Don't have sex with a menstruating woman.

²⁰ Or with your neighbor’s wife.

²² Or with a man like you would with a woman. It is an abomination.

²³ Or with animals. It is confusion.

²⁵ If you do any of these things, the land is defiled and will vomit you out.

³⁰ So keep my laws and don't commit any of these abominations, I am the Lord your God.
