1. And it came to pass that I was constrained by the Spirit that I should kill Laban.   4:10

13. Behold that great and abominable church, which is the mother of abominations, whose founder is the devil.   14:9
14. There are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil .   14:10
15. Whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth.   14:10
16. The wrath of God is poured out upon the mother of harlots, which is the great and abominable church of all the earth, whose founder is the devil.   14:17
17. I, Nephi, took one of the daughters of Ishmael to wife; and also, my brethren took of the daughters of Ishmael to wife; and also Zoram took the eldest daughter of Ishmael to wife.   16:7
18. A round ball of curious workmanship; and it was of fine brass.   16:10

43. And because of their cursing which was upon them they did become an idle people, full of mischief and subtlety, and did seek in the wilderness for beasts of prey.   5:24

48. Their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone, whose flame ascendeth up forever and ever and has no end.   9:16

108. I cannot write but a little of my words, because of the difficulty of engraving our words upon plates.   4:1
109. We knew of Christ ... many hundred years before his coming.   4:4
110. We truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea.   4:6
111. The Jews were a stiffnecked people; and they despised the words of plainness, and killed the prophets, and sought for things that they could not understand.   4:14
112. Will ye reject these words? ... If ye will do these things ... ye must go away into that lake of fire and brimstone, whose flames are unquenchable, and whose smoke ascendeth up forever and ever, which lake of fire and brimstone is endless torment.   6:10
113. Finally, I bid you farewell, until I shall meet you before the pleasing bar of God, which bar striketh the wicked with awful dread and fear.   6:13
114. If God shall smite thee, let that be a sign unto thee.   7:14

The Lamanites ... hatred was fixed, and they were led by their evil nature that they became wild, and ferocious, and a bloodthirsty people, full of idolatry and filthiness; feeding upon beasts of prey; dwelling in tents, and wandering about in the wilderness with a short skin girdle about their loins and their heads shaven ... 263. Thus the words of Abinadi were brought to pass, which he said concerning the seed of the priests who caused that he should suffer death by fire.   25:9
