In Jeremiah 19:9, how did God say he will punish the citizens of Jerusalem?

He will force them to eat their children and friends

Hear ye the word of the LORD ... inhabitants of Jerusalem ... I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend. :Jeremiah 19:3-9
