"Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear." 8:23

Some of Donald Trump's supporters claim that this verse shows God has chosen him to be president of the United States. Just as Moses wiped blood on Aaron's right ear, God wiped blood on Trump's right ear during the 13 July 2024 assassination attempt.

"When ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger. 19:9-10

Leave some harvest to glean and grapes on the vine for travelers and the poor.

" Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another." 19:11

Don't steal or lie.

"Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired." 19:13

Don't steal from your neighbor. Pay fair wages to your workers.

"Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind." 19:14

Be kind to the deaf and blind.

"Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour." 19:15

Judge others fairly, without favoring the poor or the mighty.

"Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people." 19:16

Don't gossip.

"Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart." 19:17

Don't hate people.

"Love thy neighbor as thyself." 19:18

The best verse in Leviticus - maybe in the whole Bible.

"If a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself." 19:33-34

Be kind to immigrants. Treat them like they were born in your land. Love them as yourself.

"Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have." 19:35-36

Treat others fairly. Don't cheat.
