Episode 52: Who you must kill and who you shouldn't see naked

(Leviticus 20)

People who must be stoned (or burned) to death

20 ¹ God said to Moses,

^2-3 Whoever gives his seed to Molech shall be killed. The people of the land will stone him with stones. Because he has profaned my holy name.

^4-5 I will cut off whoever refuses to stone to him to death, along with their families and those who go whoring after, and commit whoredom with, Molech.

⁶ I will cut off those who go a whoring after familiar spirits and wizards.

⁹ Whoever curses his father or mother must be put to death.

¹⁰ Adulterers and adulteresses must be put to death.

¹¹ If a man has sex with his father's wife, kill them both.

¹² If a man has sex with his daughter in law, kill them both.

¹³ If a man has sex with another man, kill them both. They have committed an abomination. Their blood shall be upon them.

¹⁴ If a man has sex with his wife and her mother, burn to death all three.

^15-16 If a man or woman has sex with an animal, kill them both. Their blood shall be upon them.

People whose nakedness you shouldn't uncover

¹⁷ If a man takes his sister and sees her naked, and she sees him naked, it is a wicked thing. They shall be cut off.

¹⁸ If a man has sex with a menstruating woman, he has discovered her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from their people.

²⁰ Don’t have sex with your uncle's wife. That would uncover your uncle's nakedness. They shall die childless.

²¹ Don’t lie with your brother's wife. It is an unclean thing. They shall die childless.

²⁷ Stone to death any witches or wizards. Their blood shall be upon them.
