Let thy words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:2
10 1 I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, He was dressed in a cloud, with a rainbow on his head. His face was like the sun and his feet were on fire.
2 He had a little book that was open in his hand, with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on land.
3 He roared like a lion and it thundered seven times.
4 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Don't write down what the thunder said."
5-6 The angel swore to the one who lives forever and who created heaven and earth that it's the end of time.
7 When the seventh angel blows his trumpet, the mystery of God will be finished.
8 And the voice from heaven said to me,
Take the little book that is open in the hand of the angel that is standing on sea and land.
9 Eat it. It will make your belly bitter, but it will taste as sweet as honey.
10 So I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it. It tasted sweet but made my belly bitter.
11 1 I was given a rod, and the angel said to me,
Measure the temple, altar, and those that worship there.
2 But don't measure the courtyard outside. That's for the Gentiles. They'll trample it for 42 months.
3 I'll give power to my two witnesses, and they'll prophesy for 1260 days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 The two witnesses are the two olive trees and candlesticks that stand before the God of the earth.
5 If anyone hurts them, they'll be burned to death by the fire that comes out of their mouths.
6 They have the power to stop it from raining by shutting heaven.
And they can turn water into blood and smite the earth with plagues as often as they want.
7 When they finish their testimony, the beast from the bottomless pit will kill them.
8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of that great city, that is called Sodom and Egypt and is where the Lord was crucified.
9 People will see their dead bodies for three and a half days, and they won't let the bodies be buried.
10 Everyone on earth will rejoice over their dead bodies, sending gifts to one another, because the prophets tormented them.
11 After three and a half days, God will put life back into them, and they'll stand on their feet, frightening everyone.
12 Then a great voice from heaven said to them, “Come up here.”
And they ascended in a cloud up to heaven.
13 At the same time, there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city was destroyed, killing 7000 men. The survivors were afraid and gave glory to God.
14 The second woe is over, but the third is coming soon.
15 When the seventh trumpet sounded, a voice in heaven said,
The kingdoms on earth are becoming the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ, who will reign forever.
16-17 And the 24 elders that sat in front of God fell on their faces, and said,
Thanks God, who is, was, and will come, because you have power and are reigning.
18 The nations were angry, so you became angry.
It's time for the dead to be judged, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.
19 God's temple in heaven was opened, showing the ark of his testament, with lightning, voices, thunder and an earthquake.
Another reference to this same time period may be the "time, times, and a half" (1 + 2 + 0.5 = 3.5) that occurs in Revelation (12:14) and Daniel (7:25, 12:7).
Believers have come up with lots of interpretations of this time period, using the day-year interpretation.
