Was Jeconiah childless?

Jeconiah was childless.

Thus saith the Lord, write this man [Jeconiah] childless .... No man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah. Jeremiah 22:28-30

Jeconiah had eight sons.

(One of them was an ancestor of Jesus.)
And the sons of Jeconiah; Assir, Salatheil his son, Malchiram also, and Pedaiah, and Shenazar, Jecamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah. 1 Chronicles 3.17-18:

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ ... Jeconiah begat Shealtiel ... And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Matthew 1:1-16

Of course, I suppose you could say that Jesus didn't prosper since he was crucified. Still, it seems he did pretty well for himself since he was the King of Kings and Lord of Lords - or so says the tattoo on his thigh (Revelation 19:16). And there are a couple million people alive today who believe he was the Messiah.
