In Mark 1, why did Jesus command the devils not to speak?

Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings. Isaiah 60:16

He [Jesus] ... cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. Mark 1:34
