Leviathan

An entire 34-verse chapter is about Leviathan, in which God taunts Job about it.

Here's what God says about Leviathan in Job 34.

He can't be caught with a hook.

Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? Job 41:1

He has terrible teeth.

Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about. v.14

He's proud of his tight scales.

His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. v.15

Fire comes out of his mouth.

Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. v.19

His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. v.21

Smoke comes out of his nostrils.

Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. v.20

He has a heart of stone.

His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone. v.24

He makes the sea boil.

He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment. v.31

The Psalms say that God breaks the heads of leviathan, and feeds him to the people in the wilderness.
[So Leviathan has (or had) more than one head.]

Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. Psalm 74:14

Someday God will kill leviathan (the piercing, crooked serpent) with his sword.

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent. Isaiah 27:1
