God's promise to destroy nations

God promises to destroy all the inhabitants of the lands that the Israelites pass through.

I will drive out the Canaanite. Exodus 33:2

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou. Deuteronomy 7:1

The LORD ... shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed. And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them. Deuteronomy 7:23-24

The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them. Deuteronomy 31:3

Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you. ... There shall not any man be able to stand before thee. Joshua 1:3-5

He will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites. Joshua 3:10

Thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong. Joshua 17:18

The LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein. He didn't keep that promise.

As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day. Joshua 15:63

And they drave not out the Canaanites. Joshua 16:10

Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land. Joshua 17:12

When the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, but did not utterly drive them out. Joshua 17:13

The Lord ... could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron. Judges 1:19

The children of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites that inhabited Jerusalem ... neither did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites. Judges 1:21-27

These are the nations which the LORD left ... the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites. Judges 3:1-5
