0 What The Bible says about Eunuchs

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16

Eunuchs

A eunuch can never enter the congregation of the Lord.

He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD. Deuteronomy 23:1

Zedekiah's sons will be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts ... thy sons ... shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. Isaiah 37:5-7

It seems that this prophecy was fulfilled by Daniel, who was of "the royal seed" and was subject to the master of the eunuchs.

And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes ... Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Daniel 1:3-6

And God brought Daniel into tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs. Daniel 1:9

Eunuchs should be proud of being eunuchs. They should never say, "I'm a dry tree." God will give them an everlasting name, better than any other name.

Thus saith the LORD ... neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Isaiah 56:1-5

A eunuch saved Jeremiah by an Ethiopian eunuch

Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, one of the eunuchs which was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon ... Ebedmelech went forth out of the king's house, and spake to the king saying, My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the place where he is: for there is no more bread in the city. Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die. So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah. And Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and rotten rags under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so. So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon. Jeremiah 38:7-13

Phillip baptized an Ethiopian eunuch.

The angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward ... Gaza. And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority ... was ... sitting in his chariot reading Esaias [Isaiah]. ...

Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. ...

And they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. Acts 8:26-38

Jesus seemed to like eunuchs. He said some eunuch were born that way, others were made eunuch by others, and some made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of God's sake.

There are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Matthew 19:12
