Allah revealed the Quran and created things
55:1-12
1The Beneficent
2Hath made known the Qur'an.
3 He hath created man.
4 He hath taught him utterance.
5 The sun and the moon are made punctual.
6 The stars and the trees adore.
7 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure,
8 That ye exceed not the measure,
9 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof.
10 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures,
11 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees,
12 Husked grain and scented herb.
The Beneficent [Allah?] revealed the Quran and created things.
The Lord of the two easts (and the two wests)
13Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
14He created man of clay like the potter's,
15And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire.
16Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
Which of your Lord's [Alah's] favors do you deny? [1]
He [Allah] created man from clay [2],
and the jinn from smokeless fire. [3]
17Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests!
18Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
Allah is Lord of the two easts and two wests! [4]
19He hath loosed the two seas. They meet.
20There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other).
21Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
22 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone.
23Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
24 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners.
25Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
26 Everyone that is thereon will pass away;
27 There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory.
28Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
29 All that are in the heavens and the earth entreat Him. Every day He exerciseth (universal) power.
30Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
He has let loose the two seas.
There's a barrier betwen them, so they don't meet. [5]
31We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn).
32Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
We'll dispose of you, humans and jinn. [6]
33O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction.
34Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
You humans and jinn won't be able to penetrate all regions of heaven and earth without our approval. [7]
By their forlocks and their feet
35There will be sent, against you both, heat of fire and flash of brass, and ye will not escape.
36Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
Fire and brass will be sent against you.
And you won't escape.
37 And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh rosy like red hide -
38Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? -
When heaven splits and turns a rosy-red color -
39 On that day neither man nor jinni will be questioned of his sin.
40Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
neither humans or jinni will be questioned about their sin.
41The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet.
42Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
The guilty will be known by their marks,
and will be taken by their forlocks and their feet.
43This is hell which the guilty deny.
44They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water.
45Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
This is hell which the guilty say doesn't exist.
They circle around between it and fierce, boiling water.
Never been touched by men or jinni
46But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens.
47Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
48 Of spreading branches.
49Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
50 Wherein are two fountains flowing.
51Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
52 Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs.
53Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
54 Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand.
55Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
But for those who stand in fear before their Lord
there will be two gardens.
56Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them.
57Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
58 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone.
59Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
60 Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness?
61Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
In these gardens there will be beautiful maidens with modest gaze,
who have never been touched by men or jinni.
62And beside them are two other gardens,
63Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
64 Dark green with foliage.
65Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
66 Wherein are two abundant springs.
67Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
68 Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate.
69Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
Besides them there are two other gardens.
70Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful -
71Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
In these gardens there are good and beautiful,
72Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions -
73Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
fair maidens, who are closely guarded in pavilions,
74Whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them -
75Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
76 Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets.
77Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
78 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, Mighty and glorious!
who have never been touched by men or jinni.
