Don't let idolaters tend the sanctuaries. Their works are in vain and they will be
burned in the Fire. 9:17
"Count ye the slaking of a pilgrim's thirst ... as (equal to the worth of) him who believeth in Allah and the Last Day,
and striveth in the way of Allah?"
Helping the poor is not as important as believing in Islam and fighting in holy wars. 9:19
Give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom to the rich and greedy Christian monks
and Jewish rabbis. 9:34
Those who are tormented in the Fire will have their foreheads and backs branded.

If you refuse to fight, Allah will afflict you with a painful doom.

Those who refuse to give their wealth and lives to Allah will face the fire of hell.

are bound to do so by the Torah, Gospel, and Quran. But Allah will reward them for it.
