Has there ever been a righteous person?


No, there has never been a righteous person.

Since childbirth is a dirty process that involves women, how could any of us be clean or righteous? We can't and we aren't. We are all unclean, unrighteous, filthy rags.

What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? Job 15:14

We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6

Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words. Isaiah 41:26

There is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10

Yes, there have been many righteous people.

Abel, Lot, Noah, Daniel, Job, David, Zacharias son of Barachias, Elisabeth, and Zechariah were all righteous people.

Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous. Hebrews 11:4

And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 2 Peter 2:7-8

When righteous people hope they become glad.

Righteous people's fruit is the same as the fruit of the tree of life.

Good things happen to righteous people.

Righteous people die hopeful deaths.

The righteous hath hope in his death. Proverbs 14:32

Righteous people have lots of stuff.

In the house of the righteous is much treasure. Proverbs 15:6

Navigation is easy for righteous people.

The way of the righteous is made plain. Proverbs 15:19

Righteous people are safe since they run to the name of the Lord.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 18:10

Righteous men look at the houses of wicked people.

The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked. Proverbs 21:12

Wicked people are ransoms for righteous people.
