1 Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant?
2 Did He not bring their stratagem to naught,
Did He not ... send against them swarms of flying creatures? 105:2
105:1-51 Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant?
2 Did He not bring their stratagem to naught,
Did you see how your Lord [Allah] dealt with the owners of the Elephant?
3 And send against them swarms of flying creatures,
4 Which pelted them with stones of baked clay,
5 And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)?
He sent swarms of flying creatures, [1]
who dropped stones and baked clay on them,
making them like crops eaten by cattle.
Notes
Allah sent swarms of flying creatures (birds, bats, insects?) that dropped stones on the owners of the elephant.
