Slain, thou wilt obtain heaven; victorious, thou wilt enjoy the earth; therefore stand up, O son of KuntĂ®, resolute to fight. 2:37

Bhagavad Gita : Cruelty & Violence (17)

  1. Those whose family customs are destroyed go to hell. 1:44
  2. So go ahead and fight. 2:19
  3. No one ever kills anyone, and no one is ever killed. 2:19
  4. No one is born and no one dies. And no one dies when the body is slaughtered. 2:20
  5. Kshattriyas (members of the warrior caste) in battle should be happy. It's an open gate to heaven for them. 2:31
  6. There is nothing better for someone in the warrior caste than a righteous battle. 2:31
  7. If you don't fight in this righteous battle, you will forsake your duty and honor, and will be guilty of sin. 2:33
  8. People will say bad things about you. And for an honored person, infamy is worth than death. 2:34
  9. The great chariot-riders will think you were afraid to fight. And you will be disgraced by those who once admired you. 2:35
  10. Your enemies will say bad things about you. What can be more painful than that? 2:36
  11. If you are killed, you'll go to heaven; if you win, you'll enjoy the earth. So get up and fight with determination. 2:37
  12. Engage in battle. Buy so doing you will not sin. 2:38
  13. Krishna said: "I am time, the destroyer of the world. I am here to kill everyone on earth. All of these warriors will die, except for you. So stand up, left-handed one! Win for yourself renown. Conquer your foes, enjoy the wealth of the realm." 11:32-33
  14. I've already killed the leaders in the Kaurava army. Kill the rest. Fight and kill! You'll crush them all. 11:34
  15. They fall downwards into a foul hell. 16:16
  16. Those who kill people are not really killing people, if they are free from egoism and their reason is not affected. 18:17
  17. If you think about me, you'll overcome all obstacles. If you don't, you'll be destroyed. 18:58
