Christian Responses to the Bible's Cruelty

Apologists focus almost exclusively on contradictions. And there are several websites that respond to the contradictions listed in the SAB. But the cruelty in the Bible doesn't seem to bother them much.

Did God really send two bears to rip apart 42 children for making fun of a prophet's bald head? (2 Kg.2:23-24) Did he order Saul to kill every Amalekite man, woman, child, infant, and baby? (2 Sam.15:3) Did he say that we should kill our family, friends, and neighbors who worship a different God? (Dt.13:6-10) Well, yes he did, at least if you believe the Bible, that is.

There is one website (GotQuestions.org), however, that has started to respond to the SAB's Short list of biblical cruelties. At the bottom of each chapter, I will be adding links to the responses to the cruelties that are highlighted in that chapter. Please let me know of any that I have missed.
