May a woman speak in church?
Yes, but she must cover her head.
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 1 Corinthians 11:4-5
No, women must be silent in church.
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.1 1 Corinthians 14:34-35
1. Bart D. Ehrman in Misquoting Jesus (p.184) says this about 1 Corinthians 14:34-35: "[O]n the basis of a combination of evidence -- several manuscripts that shuffle the verses around, the immediate literary context, and the context within 1 Corinthians as a whole -- it appears that Paul did not write 1 Cor. 14:34-35."
