2 Nephi
A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins. And unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins - 2 Nephi 3:7
Wherefore, the fruit of thy loins shall write; and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together, ... establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins. - 2 Nephi 3:12
And the Lord said unto me also: I will raise up unto the fruit of thy loins; and I will make for him a spokesman. Jacob

David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord. - Jacob 2:24

And many of them did eat nothing save it was raw meat. - Enos 20,

Jarom

Now behold, I, Jarom, write a few words according to the commandment of my father, Enos, that our genealogy may be kept. - Jarom 1

Words of Mormon

Alma

Those who did not belong to their church did indulge themselves in sorceries, and in idolatry or idleness, and in babblings, and in envyings and strife; wearing costly apparel; being lifted up in the pride of their own eyes; persecuting, lying, thieving, robbing, committing whoredoms, and murdering, and all manner of wickedness. - Alma 1:32
The Lord did strengthen the hand of the Nephites, that they slew the Amlicites with great slaughter. - Alma 2:18

Alma and Amulek ... testified that there was but one God, and that he should send his Son among the people, but he should not save them. Alma 14:3-5

Alma said: But, behold, our work is not finished; therefore they burn us not. Alma 14:13
The earth shook mightily, and the walls of the prison were rent in twain, so that they fell to the earth; and the chief judge, and the lawyers, and priests, and teachers, who smote upon Alma and Amulek, were slain by the fall thereof. Alma 14:27
Every soul within the walls thereof, save it were Alma and Amulek, was slain. Alma 14:28
And it came to pass in the eleventh year of the reign of the judges ... even until the fifth day of the second month in the eleventh year.... Alma 16:1
The Lamanites [were] a wild and a hardened and a ferocious people; a people who delighted in murdering the Nephites, and robbing and plundering them ... that they might not labor for them with their own hands. Alma 17:13-14
They [the Lamanites] were a very indolent people, many of whom did worship idols, and the curse of God had fallen upon them because of the traditions of their fathers. Alma 17:15
Ammon stood forth and began to cast stones at them with his sling; yea, with mighty power he did sling stones amongst them; and thus he slew a certain number of them. Alma 17:36
He [Ammon] smote off their arms with his sword; for he did withstand their blows by smiting their arms with the edge of his sword. Alma 17:37
[Ammon] smote off as many of their arms as were lifted against him, and they were not a few. Alma 17:38
And then [Ammon] went in unto the king, bearing the arms which had been smitten off by the sword of Ammon. Alma 17:39
Others say that he is dead and that he stinketh ... but as for myself, to me he doth not stink. Alma 19:5
[King Lamoni's] heart was swollen within him, and he sunk again with joy; and the queen also sunk down ... and he [Ammon] was also overpowered with joy; and thus they all three had sunk to the earth. Alma 19:13-14
If now thou sayest there is a God, behold I will believe. Alma 22:7
Yea, I believe that the Great Spirit created all things, and I desire that ye should tell me concerning all these things, and I will believe thy words. Alma 22:11
And it came to pass that they called their names Anti-Nephi-Lehies; and they were called by this name and were no more called Lamanites. Alma 23:17
The king conferred the kingdom upon his son, and he called his name Anti-Nephi-Lehi. Alma 24:3
If we should stain our swords again they can no more be washed bright through the blood of the Son of our great God. Alma 24:13
The Lamanites began to hunt the seed of Amulon ... And behold they are hunted at this day by the Lamanites. Alma 25:8-9
Thus the words of Abinadi were brought to pass, which he said concerning the seed of the priests who caused that he should suffer death by fire. Alma 25:9
Ammon, I fear that thy joy doth carry thee away unto boasting. Alma 26:10

Why do ye look for a Christ? For no man can know of anything which is to come. Alma 30:13
These things which ye call prophecies ... they are foolish traditions of your fathers. Alma 30:14
Ye cannot know of things which ye do not see; therefore ye cannot know that there shall be a Christ. Alma 30:15
It is the effect of a frenzied mind; and this derangement of your minds comes because of the traditions of your fathers, which lead you away into a belief of things which are not so. Alma 30:16
When a man was dead, that was the end thereof. Alma 30:18
Ye say that those ancient prophecies are true. Behold, I say that ye do not know that they are true. Alma 30:24
Ye say that this people is a guilty and a fallen people, because of the transgression of a parent. Behold, I say that a child is not guilty because of its parents. Alma 30:25
Ye also say that Christ shall come. But behold, I say that ye do not know that there shall be a Christ. Alma 30:26
Ye lead away this people after the foolish traditions of your fathers. Alma 30:27
God -- a being who never has been seen or known, who never was nor ever will be. Alma 30:28
God shall smite thee, that thou shalt become dumb, that thou shalt never open thy mouth any more, that thou shalt not deceive this people any more. Alma 30:47
I do not believe that there is a God; and I say also, that ye do not know that there is a God. Alma 30:48
I give unto thee for a sign, that thou shalt be struck dumb. Alma 30:49
When Alma had said these words, Korihor was struck dumb. Alma 30:50
The curse was not taken off of Korihor; but he was cast out, and went about from house to house begging for his food. Alma 30:56
Those who had believed in the words of Korihor that they must speedily repent, lest the same judgments would come unto them. Alma 30:57
Thus we see that the devil will not support his children at the last day, but doth speedily drag them down to hell. Alma 30:60
Holy God ... we do not believe in the tradition of our brethren, which was handed down to them by the childishness of their fathers; but we believe that ... thou hast made it known unto us that there shall be no Christ. Alma 31:16
O God, we thank thee ... that we may not be led away after the foolish traditions of our brethren, which doth bind them down to a belief of Christ, which doth lead their hearts to wander far from thee, our God. Alma 31:17
The place was called by them Rameumptom, which, being interpreted, is the holy stand. Alma 31:21

More than a thousand of the Lamanites were slain; while, on the other hand, there was not a single soul of the Nephites which was slain. 49:23
Thousands of their wicked brethren have been consigned to bondage, or to perish by the sword, or to dwindle in unbelief, and mingle with the Lamanites. 50:22
Moroni ... sent a petition ... to compel those dissenters to defend their country or to put them to death. 51:14-15
There were four thousand of those dissenters who were hewn down by the sword. 51:19
The remainder of those dissenters, rather than be smitten down to the earth by the sword ... were compelled to hoist the title of liberty. 51:20

Whosoever was found denying their freedom was speedily executed according to the law. 62:10

Helaman

Kishkumen was not known among the people of Nephi, for he was in disguise. - Helaman 1:12
Behold one of the servants of Helaman, having been out by night, and having obtained, through disguise, a knowledge of those plans. - Helaman 2:6
Behold, in the end of this book ye shall see ... Behold I do not mean the end of the book of Helaman, but I mean the end of the book of Nephi. - Helaman 2:13-14
The people ... became exceedingly expert in the working of cement. Helaman 3:7
They began to cover the face of the whole earth, from the sea south to the sea north, from the sea west to the sea east. Helaman 3:8
The people ... did dwell in tents, and in houses of cement. Helaman 3:9
They did send forth much by the way of shipping. Helaman 3:10
They did ... build many cities, both of wood and of cement. Helaman 3:11
There are many books and many records of every kind, and they have been kept chiefly by the Nephites. Helaman 3:15
The Nephites ... mixed with the Lamanites ... becoming wicked, and wild, and ferocious, yea, even becoming Lamanites. Helaman 3:16
From the west sea, even unto the east; it being a day's journey for a Nephite. Helaman 4:7
They had become a wicked people ... like unto the Lamanites. Helaman 4:22
Nephi and Lehi were not burned; and they were as standing in the midst of fire and were not burned. Helaman 5:23
When they had said these words, the earth shook exceedingly, and the walls of the prison did shake. Helaman 5:27

Again the third time the voice came, and did speak unto them marvelous words which cannot be uttered by man; and the walls did tremble again, and the earth shook. Helaman 5:33
The faces of Nephi and Lehi; and behold, they did shine exceedingly. Helaman 5:36
They all did begin to cry unto the voice of him who had shaken the earth; yea, they did cry even until the cloud of darkness was dispersed. Helaman 5:42
They were encircled about, yea every soul, by a pillar of fire. Helaman 5:43
Nephi and Lehi were ... in the midst of a flaming fire, yet it did harm them not. Helaman 5:44
The Holy Spirit of God did come down from heaven, and did enter into their hearts, and they were filled as if with fire, and they could speak forth marvelous words. Helaman 5:45
There came a voice unto them, yea, a pleasant voice, as if it were a whisper. Helaman 5:46
They did have their signs, yea, their secret signs, and their secret words. Helaman 6:22
And it was that same being who led on the people who came from that tower into this land; who spread the works of darkness and abominations over all the face of the land, until he dragged the people down to an entire destruction, and to an everlasting hell. Helaman 6:28
Ye shall become meat for dogs. Helaman 7:19
It shall be better for the Lamanites than for you except ye shall repent. Helaman 7:23
Thou shalt be utterly destroyed except thou shalt repent. Helaman 7:24

If ye [Nephi] shall say unto this temple it shall be rent in twain, it shall be done. 10:8
If ye [Nephi] shall say unto this mountain, Be thou cast down and become smooth, it shall be done. 10:9
And behold, if ye [Nephi] shall say that God shall smite this people, it shall come to pass. 10:10
He [Nephi] was taken by the Spirit and conveyed away ... thus he did go forth in the Spirit, from multitude to multitude. 10:16
It was this secret band of robbers who did carry on this work of destruction and wickedness. 11:2
O Lord, rather let there be a famine in the land. 11:4
And so it was done, according to the words of Nephi. And there was a great famine upon the land. 11:5
The whole earth was smitten ... so that they were smitten that they did perish by thousands in the more wicked parts of the land. 11:6
And it came to pass that the people saw that they were about to perish by famine, and they began to remember the Lord their God. 11:7
They became an exceedingly great band of robbers; and they did search out all the secret plans of Gadianton; and thus they became robbers of Gadianton. 11:26
They were ripening again for destruction. 11:37
Yea, except he doth visit them with death and with terror, and with famine and with all manner of pestilence, they will not remember him. 12:3
Behold, if he say unto this mountain -- Be thou raised up, and come over and fall upon that city, that it be buried up -- behold it is done. 12:17
Behold, I, Samuel, a Lamanite, do speak the words of the Lord which he doth put into my heart; and behold he hath put it into my heart. 13:5
Four hundred years shall not pass away before I will cause that they shall be smitten; yea, I will visit them with the sword and with famine and with pestilence. 13:9
Your hearts ... do swell ... unto great swelling. 13:22
O ye wicked and ye perverse generation. 13:29
All things are become slippery. 13:36
Ye have sought for happiness in doing iniquity, which thing is contrary to ... our great and Eternal Head. 13:38
For five years more cometh, and behold, then cometh the Son of God. 14:2

The Lord commanded me, by his angel, that I should come and tell this thing unto you. 14:9
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth, the Creator of all things. 14:12
The sun shall be darkened and refuse to give his light unto you; and also the moon and the stars; and there shall be no light upon the face of this land, even from the time that he shall suffer death, for the space of three days. 14:20
At the time that he [Jesus] shall yield up the ghost there shall be thunderings and lightnings for the space of many hours, and the earth shall shake and tremble; and the rocks which are upon the face of this earth, which are both above the earth and beneath, which ye know at this time are solid, or the more part of it is one solid mass, shall be broken up. 14:21
There shall be great tempests, and there shall be many mountains laid low, like unto a valley, and there shall be many places which are now called valleys which shall become mountains, whose height is great. 14:23
Many highways shall be broken up, and many cities shall become desolate. 14:24
And many graves shall be opened, and shall yield up many of their dead; and many saints shall appear unto many. 14:25
Darkness should cover the face of the whole earth for the space of three days. 14:27
The angel said unto me that many shall see greater things than these ... that there should be no cause for unbelief. 14:28
Whosoever will not believe, a righteous judgment might come upon them. 14:29
Your women shall have great cause to mourn in the day that they shall give suck. 15:2
Wo unto them which are with child, for they shall be heavy and cannot flee; therefore, they shall be trodden down and shall be left to perish. 15:2
The Lamanites hath he [God] hated ... because of the iniquity of the tradition of their fathers. 15:4
If they will not repent, and observe to do my will, I will utterly destroy them, saith the Lord, because of their unbelief. 15:17
But the Spirit of the Lord was with him, insomuch that they could not hit him with their stones neither with their arrows. 16:2
Behold he hath a devil; and because of the power of the devil which is in him we cannot hit him with our stones and our arrows. 16:6
He [Samuel] was never heard of more. 16:8
Angels did appear unto men, wise men, and did declare unto them glad tidings of great joy. 16:14
The people began ... to depend upon their own strength and upon their own wisdom. 16:15
And they began to reason. 16:17
It is not reasonable that such a being as a Christ shall come; if so, and he be the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth. 16:18

3 Nephi

He [Nephi Sr.] departed out of the land, and whither he went, no man knoweth. 1:3
There was a day set apart by the unbelievers, that all those who believed in those traditions should be put to death. 1:9
Be of good cheer ... on the morrow come I [the Lord] into the world. 1:13
The people began to be astonished because there was no darkness when the night came. 1:15
Many, who had not believed ... fell to the earth and became as if they were dead. 1:16
All the people upon the face of the whole earth ... were so exceedingly astonished that they fell to the earth. 1:17
It came to pass that there was no darkness in all that night, but it was as light as though it was mid-day. 1:19
It came to pass also that a new star did appear, according to the word. 1:21
The people ... began to be less and less astonished at a sign or a wonder. 2:1
Satan ... lead them away to believe that the doctrine of Christ was a foolish and a vain thing. 2:2
The people ... did not believe that there should be any more signs or wonders given. 2:3
Nephi, who was the father of Nephi ... did not return to the land of Zarahemla, and could nowhere be found in all the land. 2:9
Their curse was taken from them, and their skin became white like unto the Nephites. 2:15
Their young men and their daughters became exceedingly fair. 2:16
Those armies of robbers ... began ... to sally forth from the hills. 4:1
They were girded about after the manner of robbers; and they had a lamb-skin about their loins, and they were dyed in blood, and their heads were shorn. 4:7
May the Lord ... cause to be felled to the earth all who shall seek to slay them because of power and secret combinations. 4:29
Their hearts were swollen with joy, unto the gushing out of many tears. 4:33
There was not a living soul among all the people of the Nephites who did doubt in the least the words of all the holy prophets. 5:1
Thus they did put an end to all those wicked, and secret, and abominable combinations. 5:6
Behold, I am called Mormon. 5:12
I am Mormon. 5:20
And the regulations of the government were destroyed, because of the secret combination. 7:6
The more righteous part of the people had nearly all become wicked. 7:7
The more part of the people had turned from their righteousness, like the dog to his vomit. 7:8
In the name of Jesus did he [Nephi] cast out devils and unclean spirits; and even his brother [Timothy] did he raise from the dead, after he had been stoned and suffered death by the people. 7:19
In the thirty and fourth year ... the city of Zarahemla did take fire. 8:5-8
In the thirty and fourth year ... the city of Moroni did sink into the depths of the sea, and the inhabitants thereof were drowned. 8:5-9
In the thirty and fourth year ... the earth was carried up upon the city of Moronihah that in the place of the city there became a great mountain. 8:5-10
Many great and notable cities were sunk, and many were burned, and many were shaken till the buildings thereof had fallen to the earth, and the inhabitants thereof were slain. 8:14
Some who were carried away in the whirlwind; and whither they went no man knoweth. 8:16
The face of the whole earth became deformed. 8:17
For the space of three days that there was no light seen. 8:23
It came to pass that there was a voice heard among all the inhabitants of the earth. 9:1
Wo, wo, wo unto this people; wo unto the inhabitants of the whole earth except they shall repent; for the devil laugheth, and his angels rejoice. 9:2
Behold, that great city Zarahemla have I [Jesus] burned with fire, and the inhabitants thereof. 9:3
Behold, that great city Moroni have I [Jesus] caused to be sunk in the depths of the sea, and the inhabitants thereof to be drowned. 9:4
Behold, that great city Moronihah have I [Jesus] covered with earth, and the inhabitants thereof. 9:5
Behold, the city of Gilgal have I [Jesus] caused to be sunk, and the inhabitants thereof to be buried up in the depths of the earth. 9:6
Yea, and the city of Onihah and the inhabitants thereof, and the city of Mocum and the inhabitants thereof, and the city of Jerusalem and the inhabitants thereof; and waters have I [Jesus] caused to come up in the stead thereof. 9:7
Behold, the city of Gadiandi, and the city of Gadiomnah, and the city of Jacob, and the city of Gimgimno, all these have I [Jesus] caused to be sunk, and made hills and valleys in the places thereof; and the inhabitants thereof have I buried up in the depths of the earth. 9:8
Behold, that great city Jacobugath ... have I [Jesus] caused to be burned with fire because of their sins and their wickedness, which was above all the wickedness of the whole earth, because of their secret murders and combinations. 9:9
Behold, the city of Laman, and the city of Josh, and the city of Gad, and the city of Kishkumen, have I [Jesus] caused to be burned with fire, and the inhabitants thereof. 9:10
Because ... there were none righteous among them, I [Jesus] did send down fire and destroy them. 9:11
Many great destructions have I [Jesus] caused to come upon this land. 9:12
It came to pass that ... they heard a voice as if it came out of heaven. 11:3
And it came to pass that again they heard the voice, and they understood it not. 11:4
And again the third time they did hear the voice, and did open their ears to hear it. 11:5
Behold, they saw a Man descending out of heaven; and he was clothed in a white. 11:8
Behold, I am Jesus Christ. 11:10
Thrust your hands into my side, and also .. my feet. 11:14
There shall be no disputations among you. 11:28
Whoso believeth not in me [Jesus], and is not baptized, shall be damned. 11:34
Whoso remembereth these sayings of mine and doeth them, him will I raise up at the last day. 15:1
Ye [the Nephites] are they of whom I [Jesus] said: Other sheep. 15:21
I [Jesus] command you that ye shall write these sayings after I am gone. 16:4
Wo, saith the Father, unto the unbelieving of the Gentiles. 16:8
Now I go unto the Father, and also to show myself unto the lost tribes of Israel, for they are not lost unto the Father, for he knoweth whither he hath taken them. 17:4
My bowels are filled with compassion. 17:6
My bowels are filled with mercy. 17:7
Jesus groaned within himself. 17:14
The things which he prayed cannot be written. 17:15
Behold they were as white as the countenance and also the garments of Jesus; and behold the whiteness thereof did exceed all the whiteness, yea, even there could be nothing upon earth so white as the whiteness thereof. 197:25
Jesus ... did smile upon them again; and behold they were white, even as Jesus. 17:30
Fire ... came down from heaven ... and angels did come down out of heaven and did minister unto them. 19:14
Behold they [the Nephite disciples] were as white as the countenance and also the garments of Jesus; and behold the whiteness thereof did exceed all the whiteness, yea, even there could be nothing upon earth so white as the whiteness thereof. 19:25
He [Jesus] also gave them wine to drink. 20:5
He that eateth this bread eateth of my body to his soul; and he that drinketh of this wine drinketh of my blood to his soul. 20:8
Ye shall be among them ... as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, if he goeth through both treadeth down and teareth in pieces. 20:16
I [Jesus] will make thy horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass. And thou shalt beat in pieces many people. 20:19
Put on thy beautiful garments ... there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. 20:36
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet. 20:40
So will I [Jesus] destroy thy cities. 21:18
I will [Jesus] execute vengeance and fury upon them. 21:21
Yea, a commandment I [Jesus] give unto you that ye search these things diligently; for great are the words of Isaiah. 23:1
Behold, other scriptures I [Jesus] would that ye should write, that ye have not. 23:6
He [Jesus] commanded them that they [the Nephites] should write the words which the Father had given unto Malachi. 24:1
Ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet. 25:3
He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. 25:6
These scriptures [the book of Malachi], which ye had not with you, the Father commanded that I [Jesus] should give unto you. 26:2
He [Jesus] did expound all things, even from the beginning until the time that he should come in his glory -- yea, even all things which should come upon the face of the earth, even until the elements should melt with fervent heat, and the earth should be wrapt together as a scroll, and the heavens and the earth should pass away. 26:3
There cannot be written in this book even a hundredth part of the things which Jesus did truly teach. 26:6
Babes did open their mouths and utter marvelous things; and the things which they did utter were forbidden. 26:16
Many of them saw and heard unspeakable things, which are not lawful to be written. 26:18
Behold, I was about to write the names of those who were never to taste of death, but the Lord forbade. 28:25
Wo be unto him that will not hearken unto the words of Jesus ... it would be better for them if they had not been born. 28:34-35
When the Lord shall see fit, in his wisdom, that these sayings shall come unto the Gentiles. 29:1
Wo unto him that shall deny the revelations of the Lord, and that shall say the Lord no longer worketh by revelation, or by prophecy. 29:6

4 Nephi

And thus did the thirty and eighth year pass away, and also the thirty and ninth, and forty and first, and the forty and second, yea, even until forty and nine years had passed away, and also the fifty and first, and the fifty and second; yea, and even until fifty and nine years had passed away. 6
The people of Nephi did wax strong, and did multiply exceedingly fast, and became an exceedingly fair and delightsome people. 10
And it came to pass that the seventy and first year passed away, and also the seventy and second year, yea, and in fine, till the seventy and ninth year had passed away; yea, even an hundred years had passed away. 14
There were no robbers, nor murderers, neither were there Lamanites, nor any manner of -ites. 17
They did cast them [the disciples of Jesus] into prison; but by the power of the word of God, which was in them, the prisons were rent in twain. 30
They did cast them [the disciples of Jesus] into furnaces of fire, and they came forth receiving no harm. 32
They also cast them [the disciples of Jesus] into dens of wild beasts, and they did play with the wild beasts even as a child with a lamb. 33
Thus they did dwindle in unbelief and wickedness. 34
And it came to pass that the wicked part of the people began again to build up the secret oaths and combinations of Gadianton. 42

Mormon

And now I, Mormon, make a record of the things which I have both seen and heard, and call it the Book of Mormon. 1:1
The people were as numerous almost, as it were the sand of the sea. 1:7
The Holy Ghost did not come upon any, because of their wickedness and unbelief. 1:14
And I, being fifteen years of age and being somewhat of a sober mind, therefore I was visited of the Lord, and tasted and knew of the goodness of Jesus. 1:15
I did endeavor to preach unto this people, but my mouth was shut, and I was forbidden that I should preach unto them; for behold they had wilfully rebelled against their God. 1:16
The inhabitants thereof began to hide up their treasures in the earth; and they became slippery, because the Lord had cursed the land. 1:18
The Nephites ... began to cry ... but ... their sorrowing was ... the sorrowing of the damned. 2:10-13
They did not come unto Jesus with broken hearts and contrite spirits, but they did curse God, and wish to die. 2:14
I saw thousands of them hewn down in open rebellion against their God, and heaped up as dung upon the face of the land. 2:15
Then the voice of the Lord came to me and said, Vengeance is mine ..., they shall be cut off from the face of the earth. 3:14-15
It is by the wicked that the wicked are punished. 4:5
This people [the Lamanites] shall be scattered, and shall become a dark, a filthy, and a loathsome people ... because of their unbelief and idolatry. 5:11
They [the Lamanites] were once a delightsome people ... but now, behold, they are led about by Satan. 5:17-18
If ye believe that [the Bible] ye will believe this [the Bookd of Mormon] also. 7:9
Great and marvelous is the destruction of my people, the Nephites. And behold, it is the hand of the Lord which hath done it. 8:7-8
Whoso receiveth this record, and shall not condemn it because of the imperfections which are in it. 8:12
If there be faults [in Moroni's record] they be the faults of a man. 8:17
He that condemneth [the plates] ... shall be in danger of hell fire. 8:17
The same that judgeth rashly shall be judged rashly again ... he that smiteth shall be smitten again, of the Lord. 8:19
He that shall breathe out wrath and strifes against the work of the Lord ... the same is in danger to be hewn down and cast into the fire. 8:21
The blood of saints shall cry unto the Lord, because of secret combinations and the works of darkness. 8:27
Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing. 8:35
Your churches, yea, even every one, have become polluted. 8:36
Why do ye build up your secret abominations? 8:40
The sword of vengeance hangeth over you; and the time soon cometh that he avengeth the blood of the saints upon you. 8:41
Ye shall be brought to see your nakedness before God, and ... and the holiness of Jesus Christ ... will kindle a flame of unquenchable fire upon you. 9:5
Ye unbelieving, turn ye unto the Lord ... that perhaps ye may be found spotless, pure, fair, and white, having been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. 9:6
Jesus Christ, even the Father and the Son. 9:12
He that is filthy shall be filthy still ... and he that is unhappy shall be unhappy still. 9:14
The reason why he ceaseth to do miracles among the children of men is because that they dwindle in unbelief. 9:20
He that believeth not shall be damned. 9:23
These signs shall follow them that believe -- in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. 9:24
Doubt not, but be believing. 9:27
We have written this record according to our knowledge, in the characters which are called among us the reformed Egyptian. 9:32
If our plates had been sufficiently large we should have written in Hebrew. 9:33
If we could have written in Hebrew, behold, ye would have had no imperfection in our record. 9:33
These things are written that we may rid our garments of the blood of our brethren, who have dwindled in unbelief. 9:35

Ether

And now I, Moroni, proceed to give an account of those ancient inhabitants who were destroyed by the hand of the Lord upon the face of this north country. 1:1

The Lord did go before them, and did talk with them as he stood in a cloud, and gave directions whither they should travel. 2:5
The Lord came again unto the brother of Jared, and stood in a cloud and talked with him. 2:14
For the space of three hours did the Lord talk with the brother of Jared, and chastened him because he remembered not to call upon the name of the Lord. 2:14
And they were built after a manner that they were exceedingly tight, even that they would hold water like unto a dish; and the bottom thereof was tight like unto a dish; and the sides thereof were tight like unto a dish ... and the top thereof was tight like unto a dish; and the length thereof was the length of a tree; and the door thereof, when it was shut, was tight like unto a dish. 2:17
Touch these stones, O Lord, with thy finger. 3:4
The Lord stretched forth his hand and touched the stones one by one with his finger. And ... the brother of Jared ... saw the finger of the Lord. 3:6
I saw the finger of the Lord, and I feared lest he should smite me. 3:8
Never has man come before me with such exceeding faith as thou hast; for were it not so ye could not have seen my finger. Sawest thou more than this? 3:9
Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son. 3:14
Ye shall write them and shall seal them up, that no one can interpret them; for ye shall write them in a language that they cannot be read. 3:22
These stones shall magnify to the eyes of men these things which ye shall write. 3:24
He [Jesus] showed unto the brother of Jared all the inhabitants of the earth which had been, and also all that would be. 3:25
After ... they have all dwindled in unbelief ... I am commanded that I should hide them up again in the earth. 4:3
Behold, I have written upon these plates the very things which the brother of Jared saw. 4:4
I have sealed up the interpreters, according to the commandment of the Lord. 4:5
Then will I [Jesus] manifest unto them the things which the brother of Jared saw. 4:7
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of the heavens and of the earth. 4:7
He that will contend against the word of the Lord, let him be accursed; and he that shall deny these things, let him be accursed. 4:8
At my [Jesus's] command the heavens are opened and are shut; and at my word the earth shall shake. 4:9
At my [Jesus's] command the inhabitants thereof shall pass away, even so as by fire. 4:9
For behold, I am the Father. 4:12
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 4:18
I, Moroni, have written the words which were commanded me, according to my memory ... the things which I have sealed up; therefore touch them not in order that ye may translate; for that thing is forbidden you. 5:1
The Lord caused stones to shine in darkness. 6:3
There was no water that could hurt them, their vessels being tight like unto a dish. 6:7
The sons and the daughters of the brother of Jared were twenty and two souls. 6:20
Orihah ... begat thirty and one, among whom were twenty and three sons. 7:1-2
They formed a secret combinationb... which combination is most abominable and wicked above all, in the sight of God. 8:18
For the Lord worketh not in secret combinations. 8:19
Whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations ... behold, they shall be destroyed. 8:22
Ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination. 8:24
The Lord warned Omer in a dream. 9:3
Emer ... even saw the Son of Righteousness. 9:21-22
There came forth poisonous serpents also upon the face of the land, and did poison many people. 9:31
The people ... did devour the carcasses of them which fell by the way, until they had devoured them all. 9:34
Because of their wicked combinations ... there began to be wars ... famines and pestilences ... a great destruction, such ... as never had been known upon the face of the earth. 11:7
Moron did that which was wicked before the Lord. 11:14
There arose a rebellion among the people, because of that secret combination. 11:15
The three disciples obtained a promise that they should not taste of death. 12:17
When God put forth his finger he could not hide it from the sight of the brother of Jared. 12:20
The Gentiles will mock at these things, because of our weakness in writing. 12:23
The Lord spake unto me, saying: Fools mock, but they shall mourn. 12:26
The brother of Jared said unto the mountain Zerin, Remove -- and it was removed. 12:30
My garments are not spotted with your blood. 12:38
In fine, there were none of the fair sons and daughters upon the face of the whole earth who repented of their sins. 13:17
In the first year that Ether dwelt in the cavity of a rock, there were many people who were slain by the sword of those secret combinations. 13:18
Gilead ... received great strength to his army, because of secret combinations. 14:8
One of the secret combinations murdered him in a secret pass. 14:10
There had been slain two millions of mighty men, and also their wives and their children. 15:2
The waters of Ripliancum, which, by interpretation, is large. 15:8
The Spirit of the Lord had ceased striving with them, and Satan had full power over the hearts of the people. 15:19

Moroni

The manner of administering the wine ... they took the cup, and said ... sanctify this wine. 5:1-2

Whoso was found to commit iniquity, and three witnesses of the church did condemn them before the elders, and if they repented not, and confessed not, their names were blotted out. 6:7
He that supposeth that little children need baptism ... must go down to hell. 8:14
He that saith that little children need baptism ... are in danger of ... hell, and an endless torment. 8:20
The daughters of the Lamanites have they taken prisoners; and after depriving them of that which was most dear and precious above all things, which is chastity and virtue. 9:9
